CDVCA
OtherThe Community Development Venture Capital Alliance (CDVCA) is a network of community development venture capital (CDVC) funds that provide equity capital to businesses in underinvested markets. Their goal is to achieve market-rate financial returns while creating good jobs, wealth, and entrepreneurial capacity to advance the livelihoods of low-income people and the economies of distressed communities.
Founded in 1993 and incorporated as a not-for-profit in 1995, CDVCA was established when representatives of several CDVC funds met to discuss common concerns and share solutions. Recognizing the need for a collaborative platform, they formed CDVCA to exchange ideas and support each other’s missions.
