Scrum Ventures, founded in 2013 and based in San Francisco with a growing Tokyo office, is an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in startups across the United States and Japan. The firm focuses on seed and Series A investments in various industries, leveraging its extensive networks in both Silicon Valley and Japan to accelerate portfolio companies’ global growth.

In January 2025, Scrum Ventures announced the closing of its first vertically focused tech fund, Scrum Sports & Entertainment Fund I (SSE), at $68 million. This new fund aims to invest in technology companies that support the growth of the sports and entertainment sectors, as well as those addressing market inefficiencies in other industries.
